Michael Fuller brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to community service to his role as Community Partner. A veteran of the British Army with 20 years of distinguished service, Michael’s career began at the age of 19, taking him across the globe, ultimately leading him to meet his wife, Natalie, in Gibraltar.
Michael’s journey to CHEC was a pivotal moment in his professional life, driven by a desire to find a career that better accommodated his family. After leaving the military to spend more time at home, a previous job’s demanding travel schedule became unsustainable. CHEC’s recruitment team reached out at precisely the right moment, offering an opportunity that aligned with his priorities. Michael’s motivation to join CHEC was simple yet powerful: he wanted to help his community by providing them with greater choice and flexibility in their NHS treatment. This passion for community support is further demonstrated by his dedicated fundraising and community work, particularly his involvement with the Royal British Legion in the lead-up to Remembrance Sunday.
In his personal life, Michael is a devoted family man, with two children, Mitchell and Maisie. Originally deriving from Portsmouth, where he was born, he now calls Barnsley, South Yorkshire, home having lived there since the age of seven. his hobbies consist of football, a passionate football fan, supporting his hometown team, Portsmouth, and he also enjoys playing football, regularly playing with various age groups.
Looking ahead in his role as Community Partner, Michael is focused on leveraging his new professional connections in South Yorkshire and the Midlands to help establish CHEC as a leading multi-specialist provider of NHS community care in the region.
